Quik Quosin Shots

Fun times in Pittsburgh over the 4th of July...Colorado and North Carolina Austins invaded Park Ridge Lane for a few days of fun.
Naptime is over, just wanted to get some of these pictures up, TT was starting to hassle me about it.

Our remaining pear tree was blown over a few weeks ago.  Pretty exciting afternoon for the Austins.

Party weekend

The Austins have been whooping it up all weekend, celebrating Daddy's birthday on Saturday, and then Father's Day.  Maggie and I decided to do a 'space' theme, because everyone knows by now, the party is never really about Daddy, even when he gets two celebrations in a row.  She has been so obsessed with space recently, we figured that would be a cool theme for Daddy.  We usually make him a card, but my family has always had a thing for birthday posters, (they also take up a good amount of indoor, enjoy the air conditioning time).

In case you can't read the fine print: and Uranus is old!!

Daddy and his two girls wearing their 'my heart belongs to Daddy' t's.
You can also see the 'moon' cake.  I do not have the skills or patience to decorate cakes like my mother, or my cake boss brother, Danny.

Popcools

It's been so stinkin hot down here, we decided to take a break from the pool yesterday and just stay cool in the AC.  Anybody else ever give their 7 month old a popsicle?  Great for teething!!!!

Visitors from another planet...

you know, Cleveland.

Aunt Erin and Uncle Joe came down for a visit last week.  We didn't get around to taking very many pictures, but here are a couple from the night we got kicked out of the pool because of a stupid swim meet.  (I'm surprised Maggie hasn't taken after Uncle Joe and asked to join the swim team, just so she'd be allowed in the pool on those nights.  If I remember correctly, this was the only reason Joe ever joined.)

Aunt Erin and Uncle Joe were supposed to be at work, but instead they brought the science classroom to Maggie.  They are painting a model of the solar system.  Would you believe that both Maggie and Uncle Joe sat still for about an hour and a half while working on this project?
