As promised- photos of cousin Will- or Wild Will, if you will. We will. He's such a little monkey! We can't wait to meet him!

Maggie has been awake from her nap for a few minutes, but she's counting her money in her piggy bank. We might have a little financial wizard on our hands, or the next American Idol. She's singing, too. I finished a couple videos, too. They are from Mother's Day and a couple of weeks before that. When Rob gets home, I'm going to put him to work on posting them- he's got some special way he routes them.....
Anyway, check back later tonight, probably after 8:30 or 9:00 and hopefully we'll have some puddle splashing and corn on the cob munching to show.

This is Maggie giving her friend Emily a kiss. Emily usually comes over to play on Wednesday evenings when her Grandma and Grandpa are babysitting.

The bearded lady.

We loaded up the Austins and Pettys for a Saturday trip to the NC Zoo- a little over an hour away in Asheboro. We had a lovely road trip, until we got to the zoo and it was closed. It was like Clark Griswold and family had pulled up to Wally World, only there was no Marty Moose to punch in the nose. We did find a good shoe outlet near the zoo, and stopped by Farrington Village near Chapel Hill on our way back. The kids got to see a few animals- cows, donkey, and a couple of goats. The day was not a complete disaster, we even got free tickets for the next time we attempt the zoo.

These are some pics from Mother's Day. I got breakfast in bed, Mexican for lunch, and Daddy cooked a special dinner. Cake, too!!! It rained a good bit of the day, so we had some good puddles to jump around in after dinner. Maggie even noticed the moon for the first time- she's usually in bed when the moon is out!

pickin berries

We went to the strawberry patch this morning, and really did a lot better than Jen was expecting. Jean's Berry Patch probably should have weighed Maggie before and after her 'picking' to make sure they charged us enough. It was a perfect day to pick, lots of sun, no bugs, and not too hot, yet. The kids had a great time and we actually picked almost 6lbs of berries!! Maggie and Jack probably ate 3lbs between them.

Maggie is admiring her first pedicure- hot pink!!

First attempt at corn on the cob- a new favorite. Hopefully there will be some video on this as well, assuming I get around to it in the next couple of days!!

We also want to mention that Maggie's new cousin, Will, entered the world Thursday night, May 1st. He's doing great and so are his Mommy and Daddy. He's got a head full of dark curly hair and looks a lot like his Daddy. We can't wait to meet him- we saw lots of good pictures and even got to see him sleeping on the webcam. Maggie was thrilled to see "baby! baby! baby!"
